If, like us, you're partial to the occassional crafty day out, here's a date for your diaries! British Wool Weekend is set to transform the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate into a yarn-lovers' paradise for two days on 1-2 September this year. The show sets out each year to raise the profile of British wool - and it's a haven for crafters who love to knit with local wool. You'll also get to meet some big names in the UK knitting industry, including Sasha Kagan (who'll be showing her exhibition 'My life in textiles - 4 decades of design for hand knitting) and Sue Blacker from Blacker Yarns (whose beautiful collection of home-grown yarns are well worth a peek). The event is being led by one of The Making Spot's favourite designers June Onigbanjo and we can't wait to visit. Hope to see you there!
