What we really like about this is it is not only a great scrap buster but as Holly herself says it's a "quick and dirty" project that you can whip up in no time. Be warned though, once you make one set, all your friends will be putting in orders! The project has been designed as a alphabet magnet tutorial but we think all those lovely letter have SO much potential. After all you don't need to make just the alphabet you could make all sorts with your initials and spell out all sorts.  You could even make key rings or badges.

You will need:

  • 26 different 8x4 inch pieces of fabric
  • Cotton batting
  • White thread
  • 26 small magnets (about ¼ - ½- inch wide)
  • Card stock for letter template

Optional:

  • Fray-Stop Fabric Glue

Tools:

  • Sewing machine
  • Scissors
  • Small sharp scissors
  • Washable fabric marker
  • Pins

Once you have gathered all your bits and pieces head over the Chez Beeper Bebe for the your next steps. The full set. Don't they look gorgeous! Imagine all the lovely patterned fabric you could use. 2011-08-alphabet-magnets9.jpg I love the spotty N and ditsy S. What else could you use them for? We would love to hear your ideas.
