Mostly making: Tiny flags!

I've been invited to an Olympic-themed party this Friday, which was the perfect excuse to try stitching up some of these gorgeous Flags of the World! Read more to find out how I'm getting on...

These little flags are the perfect cross stitch project for me - I can finish each flag in an hour or two, so there's no chance of me getting bored or frustrated as I do with larger projects. I've chosen a mix of simple flags and more complicated ones, so the overall effect should be colourful and fun.

When I'm finished, I'll stick my flags to lollipop sticks and bring them along to the party as little gifts; I hope everyone has fun figuring out which countries their flags are from, and waving them around when the London 2012 flag bearers appear on TV!
