Craft along with Prima!

A promotion from The Making Spot

Live with Prima is a series of live online scrapbooking classes by the papercraft experts at Prima. Watch for gorgeous scrapbook ideas, plus handy tips and tricks - and because the classes are streamed live, you can chat with the instructors online!

The Prima team are based in the USA, but they're creating some new classes to be broadcast at a handy time for us European crafters. Today you can watch Live with Prima at 7pm GMT; click over to www.ustream.tv/channel/primaflower now and bookmark the page! If you'd like to join in and chat to the instructors, just create a free Ustream.com account, then a chat box will appear next to the video window.

You can also catch up on shows that you've missed - there are classes on card making, stamping, mini albums and more.

Happy scrapping!

Guest post: Try a craft class

Today we're welcoming a guest blogger - the wonderful Jade from lovemycourse, a UK website that helps you find courses, workshops and classes in your area.

A superhero equipped with knitting needles

Some people are just naturals when it comes to crafts. They’re the ones who never put their foot down too hard on the sewing machine pedal; who make knitting look as easy as brushing their teeth; and the ones you just know could copy the craft projects on Blue Peter as kids and end up with a Tracey Island which looked better than the real thing.

Then there are those of us who aren’t. We like making bits and pieces for fun, and get excited over new patterns, but things don’t always go to plan. Sure, we have our successes, but there are a fair few projects that end in us tossing aside our material in frustration and reaching for the nearest (and biggest) bar of chocolate. Unfortunately I am most definitely in this group...

Mostly making: cushions

For a couple of years now I've peeked in the window of a little shop called The Makery & always wanted to try one of their sewing classes. So when my hen do came around this weekend, I found the perfect excuse.
