What a hoot: fabric owls

When it comes to sewing projects, I am a self-confessed novice. I yearn to get fancy with fabric, but my skills let me down. So I was chuffed to make a fabric owl this week, with a little help with my friends.

Get stuck in with embroidery

If you have been toying with the idea of trying your hand at embroidery we have just the pattern to get you started.

Friday i'm in love

Hello there, it's Friday again so that means it's time for me to tell you about some of the treasures that have had me cooing in the last week.

Spring inspirations

We're loving all the spring craft ideas out there in the craft universe at the mo. To celebrate our favourites, we've added a new gallery of spring inspirations to Flickr - and this new baby card by Lara Watson is topping our 'must make' lists this week.

Easter craft ideas

With the first crocuses and daffodils springing up on my walk to The Making Spot HQ this morning, I'm in the mood for a spot of spring crafting. I'm a bit of an Easter addict, and top of my spring craft wish list are these easy Easter Egg hunt bags from Purl Soho.

Good luck Laura!
