DIY kokeshi dolls

Oh hello! Sometimes we stumble upon a craft project that just leaps off our screens and cries out to be made instantly. This week, I've fallen in love with these DIY kokeshi dolls by the ever-so-talented Kirsty Neal

 how to make Kokeishi dolls

After discovering them on Kirsty's Ginger&George blog yesterday, I accidentally splurged and brought the pdf tutorial instantly. (Etsy guilt strikes again.)

They're made from polymer clay and finished with a lick of acrylic paint & fabric embellishments. I actually cannot wait to get making them - although I can't say who for in case they're reading this!

Avast m'earties! This pirate doll is possibly my favourite... love his mini earring & stripy top.

If, like me, you can't resist them, you can download the tutorial for how to make the set on Kirsty's Hello Clementine Etsy shop

Mostly making: memento box

This weekend one of my best friends had a milestone birthday - 30 years old. To mark the occasion I got together with friends for a shared craft project - this memento box filled with handmade treasures to represent all of her favourite things.

Mostly making: bunting

I got together with three of my best friends this weekend for the ultimate in happy saturday activities - a crafternoon. Our mission? to get making & give two very important parties a personal touch.
