Oooh we do love a little Monday freebie to start the week! As a special treat for The Making Spot followers, we're giving away a Sizzix Big Shot Starter Kit to one lucky winner. As well as being pretty nifty for cutting tags, shapes & apertures in your cards, this great die-cutting start kit comes with dies and an embossing folder to start you off. You can use it to cut fabric, felt & all sorts of textures too - here's a couple of our favourite card ideas made using the Big Shot. Read more to find out how to enter.

To be in with a chance of winning your very own Big Shot starter kit (worth £100), click over & fill in your details on our Big Shot competition page. This competition closes midnight Tuesday 11th April 2012. We'll announce the winners over on our Facebook page and on Twitter @TheMakingSpot on Wednesday 12th April.
Curious about die-cutting?
The Big Shot Starter Kit is a pretty nifty place to start. You'll quickly be hooked if you're a fan of batch card making, your cutting skills are often a bit wonky, or you just a fancy playing around with cutting card, paper, felt, fabric or shrink plastic. The starter kit includes a set of starter 'dies' (these are basically shape cutters) plus a Textured Impressions Embossing folder, plus 'how to' DVD, cardstock and the Big Shot itself. For more die-cutting projects, check out our card making ideas over on The Making Spot... my favourite are these die-cut felt animal cards - cut using a Big Shot machine and perfect for giving new arrivals in the family a wild welcome!
